Arnesen to discuss targets with new boss Fink

Hamburg general manager Frank Arnesen is ready to step up plans for the January transfer window. The club have taken just 10 points out of the first 12 weeks of the current Bundesliga season and earlier in the campaign they sacked boss Michael Oenning to replace him with Thorsten Fink. After just three games in charge, Arnesen knows Fink needs more time to assess his inherited squad, but he is planning to draw up a list of winter transfer targets. Arnesen told kicker-Sportmagazin: "I am going to discuss new signings with the manager. We are allowed to do business in the winter period. "The manager needs four to five weeks to get to know all the players of the current squad. "Then we can put up a decision on which position we are in need of a new player and if there are players available for us on the transfer scene in January."
