QPR boss to line up moves

Neil Warnock is targeting a number of new names in the January transfer market with the emphasis on bolstering his defence. The Queens Park Rangers boss has met with the club's owners to go over his wishes for next month's window. Warnock insists that he needs to bolster his squad, but insists that they will only bring in the players they need. "I won't be doing anything just for the sake of it," he said. "We've seen who we want and we do need improving, but I'd like to think this will be the final January in which we need three or four new players. "If you do your business right and you establish yourself, then you do your business in the summer, but that wasn't really possible for us this season. "It's been a difficult period to get people in and then integrate them all."

Defence

Warnock confirmed defence was the main area of concern, adding: "We are shipping goals a bit too easily. "We will be looking to take on loan two or three players, a couple from England and one from abroad. "We do need improvement - we need three to four players into the squad to give us solidness."
