Whites boss pleased by opening run of fixtures

Leeds boss Neil Warnock is looking forward to getting the new season under way with a home encounter against relegated Wolves. Warnock's side launch the new campaign at Elland Road against the Midlanders, for whom new manager Stale Solbakken will take charge of his first competitive game, then face trips to Blackpool and Peterborough before a home clash with Blackburn on September 1st. "It's a great fixture to start with. You can't really have a better game than that to start off with," Warnock told the club's official website. "We start with Wolves at home then Blackpool away and you couldn't have two much tougher games than that. Peterborough as well will be a toughie down there. "Then you look at the next four games with Blackburn, Cardiff, Hull and Nottingham Forest. That just shows what a great league this is. "People will talk about a tough start to the season and it is, but the six teams we face first up will also be looking at their starts and thinking 'we've got Leeds'. It's my job to make it as difficult as possible for those teams."
