Sky Sports casts an eye over the week's League One meetings to pick out the key men.
Team of the Week
Ryan Allsop - Leyton Orient
The 20-year-old English goalkeeper made sure Orient kept their goals-against tally to a minimum as they survived an onslaught of pressure throughout the game against a Walsall side seven points better off before the game.
Jordan Clarke - Coventry City
Coventry youngster Clarke played a huge part in the Sky Blues first victory of the season in League One. Clarke put in a fine display at the back alongside his team-mates.
Ben Chorley - Leyton Orient
Experienced former Tranmere and MK Dons defender Ben Chorley worked well with Orient's No.1 Allsop to shut out a strong Walsall side. A worthy addition to this week's team of the week following Tuesday night's display.
Reece Brown - Coventry City
The on-loan Manchester United defender had to withstand a heap of Oldham pressure; he was part of a defence that recorded a morale boosting clean-sheet in Coventry's first victory of the season.
Jamie Reckord - Coventry City
Coventry weren't expected to come away from Boundary Park with any sort of result. They took all three points though with the help of a spirited defensive display from Reckord and his colleagues.
David Cotterill - Doncaster Rovers
Journeyman Cotterill is finding his form at Rovers. He marshalled the midfield in front of a season's best crowd at Leyton Orient on Saturday and scored his third goal of the campaign in the process.
Dean Cox - Leyton Orient
David Beckham, eat your heart out. Cox struck a mirror image of Beckham's famous strike against Wimbledon all those years ago as Orient impressed at Walsall. He makes it in the team based on that stunning wonder-strike alone.
Jeffrey Monakana - Preston North End
Impressive former Arsenal youngster Monakana confirmed his place in this week's ultimate League One team scoring one goal, setting up another and winning a penalty in Preston's 3-2 victory over Yeovil on Saturday.
Jabo Ibehre - Colchester United
Ibehre capped off a fine debut in what was Joe Dunne's first game in charge of the U's. Ibehre, on loan from MK Dons, scored twice in Colchester's 3-1 victory over Hartlepool.
Matt Derbyshire - Oldham Athletic
Oldham were four points behind Crewe at the start of play. Derbyshire made sure they moved to within a point of their League One rivals as he bagged a goal and was later denied another by a fine save.
Michael Rose - Colchester United
Rose scored the match winner against his former side on Tuesday night as Colchester beat Swindon 1-0 at the County Ground. Rose heaped as much pressure on the Swindon goalkeeping department as their manager Paolo Di Canio did on that infamous day at Deepdale last month.
