Northampton boss Keith Curle has George Cox available to face his former club Carlisle.
Curle, who managed the Cumbrians for four years, has brought in left-back Cox on loan from Brighton for the rest of the season and could hand him his debut at Sixfields. Forward Andy Williams and defender Ash Taylor are struggling with injuries and will be assessed.
Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole has not featured since November 27 due to a foot problem and, although he is closing in on a return, is unlikely to feature on Saturday.
Connor Simpson could make his Carlisle debut as managerless United aim for a seventh consecutive victory. The 18-year-old has been drafted in on a half-season loan from Preston following a striker shortage at Brunton Park.
Loanees Ashley Nadesan, Jerry Yates and Adam Campbell have all returned to their parent clubs this month. Caretaker managers Tommy Wright and Paul Murray will have Macaulay Gillesphey available despite the defender requiring knee surgery at some point.
Northampton are unbeaten in their last three league games against Carlisle (W2 D1), scoring nine goals in the process.
Carlisle have won just one of their last five league visits to Northampton (D1 L3), a 2-0 victory in March 2015.
Northampton Town are winless in their last five league games, though the Cobblers have only lost once in that run (D4).
Carlisle United are looking to win seven straight league games for only the second time in the club's history in the Football League, and for the first time since April 2006.
Northampton's Sam Hoskins has had more shots in League Two without scoring than any other player in the competition in 2018-19 (40).
