Oxford's injury worries appear to be easing but not in time for the Sky Bet League One visit of Luton.
United, who claimed two points from five games in September, could have Samir Carruthers (knee) back soon, after the midfielder joined in the warm-up prior to the loss at AFC Wimbledon.
Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood (broken finger) and forward Jamie Mackie (hip) are back in training, but midfielder Marcus Browne and forward Rob Hall (both knee) are still out.
Forward Kazenga LuaLua was an unused substitute in Luton's draw with Charlton and could make his Hatters debut. Striker Danny Hylton missed the draw with a hamstring problem and could be out again.
Harry Cornick came off the bench against Charlton and created chances which he failed to take. He may again be a substitute. On-loan Leeds midfielder Eunan O'Kane (broken leg) is out following his injury last month, while midfielder Luke Berry (broken leg and dislocated ankle) remains a long-term absentee.
Oxford have won none of their last six home Football League matches against Luton (D2 L4) since a 4-0 win in November 1992.
Luton and Oxford last met in the Football League Trophy semi-final in March 2017, with Oxford winning 3-2.
Oxford have managed just one victory in their last 11 games in League One (D2 L8), keeping only one clean sheet and conceding 23 goals (an average of 2.1 per game).
75% of Luton's goals in League One this season have been scored in the second half (nine of 12 goals in total).
