Argyle host Addicks in play-off six pointer

Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Peter Halmosi ahead of the visit of fellow play-off contenders Charlton. Argyle have slipped out of the play-off places after drawing to Watford and losing to Coventry in their previous two league fixtures. Charlton have lost four of their last five league games and are without a win in six as they look put their play-off challenge back on course with a win at Home Park. Halmosi - who has scored eight goals this season - missed last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Coventry because of suspension. Despite returning from the ban the 28-year-old is struggling with a knee injury and Sturrock has indicated he will give Halmosi as long as possible to prove his fitness. Striker Rory Fallon (ankle) is also facing a late fitness test, but French defender Mat Doumbe is back in contention after his hamstring injury.

Charlton news

Alan Pardew's men will be determined to avenge last weekend's heart-breaking 3-2 defeat to Wolves by picking up maximum points in the South West. Madjid Bougherra is ready to return for the Addicks having been sidelined since the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in September with a foot injury, and may come into the defensive frame. Fulham loanee Lee Cook impressed after coming on as a substitute against Wolves and may start on the left wing with Darren Ambrose shifting to the right. Chris Iwelumo and Leroy Lita are expected to lead the line as Charlton look to fire themselves closer to the play-off places.
