Highlights of the Sky Bet League 2 match between Plymouth and Wycombe

Gozie Ugwu scored Wycombe's third-minute winner as they upset promotion-chasing Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at Home Park.

Ugwu got Wycombe off to a flying start in Saturday's League 2 clash at Home Park when he smashed the ball home from close range following a goalmouth scramble.

On 15 minutes, injured Wycombe keeper Alex Lynch was replaced by 46-year-old reserve Barry Richardson, playing his first competitive match since a November 2005 Football League Trophy appearance for Doncaster Rovers.

He was rarely tested, though, and it was the visitors who continued pressing. Ugwu was denied, from close range again, by a brilliant block tackle from Argyle skipper Curtis Nelson on 34 minutes.

Wycombe's 46-year-old goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson was called into action when Alex Lynch suffered an early injury and managed to keep a clean sheet

Pilgrims striker Reuben Reid then had penalty appeals waved away after being felled as he went to shoot.

Wanderers' Michael Harriman cleared Nelson's goal-bound shot off the line following substitute Graham Carey's 56th-minute corner.

On 71 minutes, Luke McCormick made two reaction saves to deny Matt Bloomfield while Carey did his best to test Richardson from a dipping 30-yard free-kick, which the keeper saved at the foot of his post.

The Pilgrims were aggrieved at Wycombe's game plan and after the final whistle, a tweet on the club's official Twitter feed accused the visitors of time wasting.

The tweet read: "Wycombe came here to waste time, niggle and get under our skin. They did it and they won. See you next week."
