Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Port Vale and Burton Albion.

Jake Beesley scored a brace as Burton twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw with relegation rivals Port Vale in a pulsating League One clash.

Bottom side Vale took the lead courtesy of Ethon Archer's superb free-kick and then Ben Waine's strike, but Beesley brought Burton level on both occasions with his 11th and 12th goals of the season.

The Valiants went ahead in the sixth minute thanks to a brilliantly taken free-kick from Luton loanee Archer, who found the top corner from the edge of the box after Albion captain Udoka Godwin-Malife was booked for pulling down Waine.

The visitors equalised 20 minutes later, leading scorer Beesley flicking the ball into the net at the near post from Sebastian Revan's corner.

But the hosts swiftly retook the lead from a corner of their own, Waine firing home from close range after the Brewers' defence failed to deal with a cross.

Albion threatened to equalise again just before the break, only for an excellent save from Joe Gauci to deny Kyran Lofthouse from point-blank range.

They did restore parity, though, seven minutes into the second half, with Beesley directing Lofthouse's delivery over the line.

Tyrese Shade and JJ McKiernan both hit the right post with shots from the distance as Gary Bowyer's Burton pushed hard to secure all three points for the travelling fans.

At the other end Archer shot straight at Bradley Collins having found himself free at the back post and Waine struck a thunderous effort against the crossbar from 20 yards out.

The home side came agonisingly close to scoring a winner late on, but substitute Dajaune Brown's attempt on the stretch was cleared off the line by Godwin-Malife.
