Vitesse made it maximum points from two Eredivisie games with a 3-1 victory at Roda JC on Friday evening.
Tim Matavz, Thomas Bruns and Guram Kashia were on target for Vitesse, with Roda's only reply through Simon Gustafson coming from the penalty spot.
Gustafson and Jorn Vancamp both went close for Roda but Vitesse struck five minutes before the break.
Frederic Ananou's mistake allowed Slovenian striker Matavz to score his second goal of the season and his 60th in the Eredivisie.
Roda pressed at the start of the second half and were level when Milot Rashica conceded a 64th-minute penalty which Gustafson converted.
But Vitesse were ahead again within five minutes when Bruns scored his second goal of the season from a 20-yard free-kick.
Kashia's header secured victory 10 minutes from time and Vitesse - 4-1 winners against NAC Breda in their opening game - now sit proudly on top of the Eredivisie.
