Roda JC secured just their third Eredivisie win of the season with a 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Go Ahead Eagles on Friday night.
Christian Kum notched what was only Roda's 15th goal in 23 league games 20 minutes from time as they climbed from second bottom to 14th - leapfrogging their opponents in the process.
Kum volleyed home a Mitchell Paulissen cross for his second goal of the season which was enough for the hosts to take all three points as they look to climb up the Eredivisie table.
The Eagles had won their last two games in the Dutch league but now slip to 16th and could find themselves bottom should results go against them over the weekend.
Just two sides separate them from current bottom side ADO Den Haag, who are in action against the club currently in top spot - Feyenoord - on Sunday afternoon, live on the Sky Sports 5 via the red button.
Seventeenth-place side Sparta Rotterdam also play on Sunday ahead of their relegation rivals, as they host Groningen at 1.30pm.
