Scunthorpe v Wycombe preview

Image: Togwell: Starts a three-match ban

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Scunthorpe and Wycombe at Glanford Park.

Scunthorpe will be without suspended midfielder Sam Togwell. Togwell was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Michael Doyle during the midweek defeat at Sheffield United and starts a three-match ban. Damien Mozika could return to the starting line-up in Togwell's absence, while Jimmy Ryan provides manager Alan Knill with an alternative option. Ryan has been sidelined with the recurrence of a long-term knee injury and last appeared for the Iron on January 2, but could still return to contention. Defender Cliff Byrne is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after shaking off a troublesome groin injury to step off the bench on Tuesday night. Midfielder Garry Thompson and striker Bobby Grant also return to contention after making second-half substitute appearances against the Blades. But strikers Connor Jennings (foot), Matt Godden (hip) and midfielder Michael Collins (Achilles) remain long-term absentees. Marvin McCoy is the only fresh concern for Wycombe boss Gary Waddock. McCoy, who started his first game in five weeks as the Chairboys beat Hartlepool 5-0 last Saturday, has been away on international duty in the Caribbean with Antigua and Barbuda. He will be assessed after returning to training. Fellow defender Dave Winfield will serve the second game of a two-match suspension after collecting 10 yellow cards this season. Defender Danny Foster, midfielders Gareth Ainsworth and Matt Bloomfield and strikers Ben Strevens and Matt McClure are options for Waddock should he wish to make changes to a winning team.
