Shrews sweating on fitness of right-back

Shrewsbury are sweating on the fitness of Dean Holden ahead of the visit of fellow promotion hopefuls Accrington. Right-back Holden was forced off with a hamstring injury just 18 minutes into last weekend's 2-1 win over Dagenham and is battling to be fit in time. Manager Paul Simpson will assess his chances over the next 24 hours and should he not make it, then youngster Danny Taylor is again expected to step in. Midfielder Craig Disley was also forced off in the first half against the Daggers due to concussion and a lot of bruising to his face but he has been handed the go-ahead to feature by Town's doctor. But captain Graham Coughlan (hamstring) continues to miss out as does goalkeeper Andres Arestidou (hernia) and striker Jake Simpson (knee).

    Stanley news

Accrington central defender Darren Kempson is back in contention for the trip. Kempson missed the midweek victory over Aldershot due to a one-match ban following his red card in the FA Cup fourth-round defeat against Fulham last weekend. Jonathan Flynn replaced Kempson against the Shots and boss John Coleman must decide whether to stick with a winning side or recall the experienced Kempson. Billy Kee staked his claim for a starting berth after scoring the winner against the Shots just three minutes after coming on and he could get the nod ahead of John Miles. Chris Turner, Sean McConville and Peter Murphy may have to bide their time as they also look to regain their places in the side.
