Stockport boss Jim Gannon is boosted by the return of on-loan midfielder Stephen Gleeson for the visit of Brighton. The Wolves player has completed a three-match ban and is available again as County seek to enhance their promotion credentials with victory against the Seagulls. Gannon's men lie eighth in the table after hammering struggling neighbours Crewe 3-0 at Gresty Road on Saturday. Defender Johnny Mullins picked up a knock against the Railwaymen which forced him to be substituted and will undergo a fitness test. But County have no other injury or suspension concerns and Gannon will be reluctant to make changes following the emphatic nature of their win on Saturday. Despite their lofty position, Stockport have won only twice at home so far this season. David Livermore returns to the Brighton squad for the trip. The former Hull midfielder sat out the 1-0 home defeat by Huddersfield on Saturday with a one-match ban and could come straight back into the starting XI. Long-term absentees Kerry Mayo and Gary Hart (both knee) are the only players in the treatment room. Centre-half Colin Hawkins will hope to be involved after being left out of the squad entirely at the weekend. The versatile Adam Virgo, back from a calf injury, played in central defence against the Terriers with Adam El-Abd on the bench. Winger Kevin McLeod was also an unused substitute following a virus and will push for a place in the starting line-up.
