Paul Benson netted as Swindon moved seven points clear at the top of League Two with a 1-0 win at home to Cheltenham.
Cheltenham were gifted the chance to take a 31st-minute lead when Oliver Risser clumsily bundled over Darryl Duffy to concede a needless penalty. Duffy dusted himself down to take the resulting spot-kick only to see his low shot towards the right corner pushed out by Swindon goalkeeper Wes Foderingham. Duffy's misery was compounded four minutes later when Benson buried a half volley at the back post - his seventh goal in eight games - after Alessandro Cibocchi's cross had evaded three Cheltenham defenders to pick out the striker. Foderingham was called into action again in the opening seconds of the second half to beat away Jermaine McGlashan's effort after the winger had cut in from the right. Benson and Luke Rooney both forced good saves from Cheltenham goalkeeper Jack Butland while the luckless Duffy wasted two good close range chances to earn the visitors a draw.
