Midfield duo could return for Torquay, Stanley set to be unchanged

Torquay could be boosted by the return of experienced midfielders Lee Mansell and Wayne Carlisle for the visit of Accrington. Mansell was ruled out of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at relegation rivals Cheltenham Town with a head injury but is now back in training and could feature against play-off chasing Stanley. Carlisle is also back in training following a knee problem which has kept him on the sidelines for the past month. Eight-goal striker Scott Rendell (broken arm) is back in non-contact training with the aid of a protective cast but the on-loan Peterborough man remains unavailable. Goalkeeper Michael Poke is also likely to miss out once again as he continues to battle a groin injury, so Scott Bevan should continue between the sticks.

Accrington news

John Coleman is expected to field an unchanged side after Stanley ended a run of three games without a win last weekend. Accrington beat Bradford 2-0 and although their midweek game at home to Burton was postponed, they come into the weekend just two points outside the play-off places. On-loan striker Billy Kee (Leicester) and defender Jonny Flynn (Leeds) are away on international duty with Northern Ireland's Under-21s, so Coleman will have to make changes on the bench. The Stanley boss is hoping to bring in an unnamed defender on loan, believed to be from a Premier League club, but the deal will not be completed before the trip to Plainmoor.
