WALES 1-4 SPAIN
FT: A nice end for Wales but this was all about the sheer class of Spain. So classy with the ball and ruthless in front of goal. Paco Alcacer netted a brace (8 & 29) and Sergio Ramos (19) and Marc Bartra (74) did the damage. Sam Vokes (89) netted a late consolation.
Wales now have to gather themselves for an important Nations League clash with Republic of Ireland on Tuesday with doubts about the fitness of Gareth Bale and Ethan Ampadu, who limped off with a knee injury.
GOAL! WALES 1-4 SPAIN (Vokes, 89)
Gotta say, that's deserved. Wales have come to life in the final 10 minutes. Unsurprisingly, it's Brooks at the heart of it.
He teases a cross in with the outside of his left-foot that is met by Vokes. His header floats towards the far corner and beats Kepa. Wales end on a positive note.
WALES 0-4 SPAIN
85: SHOT! Wales trying to to send their fans home with a goal. Brooks has an effort blocked and it breaks out to Lawrence at a tight-angle. He takes on the volley but his effort is straight at Kepa.
81: CHANCE! Brooks has been Wales bright spark in the second half. He sets off an attack down the right with Lawrence, who forces a low cross towards Vokes but Bartra just about gets a boot in ahead of him to scramble it clear from the six-yard box.
78: CLOSE! Aspas has the ball in the net...but it's chalked off. Rodri splits the Welsh defence with a clever ball and Aspas nips through and finishes past Hennessey. The offside flag derails the celebrations.
GOAL! WALES 0-4 SPAIN (Bartra, 74)
For all Spain's brilliant passing and movement, two of their goals have now come from set-pieces. This is a quite brilliant header.
A corner from the left is met from 12 yards out from the centre-back. He's off balance and has to generate all the power onto the ball - but he directs it perfectly towards the far corner. Hennessey can only watch it loop into the net.
WALES 0-3 SPAIN
73: SUB! There will be no hat-trick for Alcacer. He's replaced by former Liverpool man Aspas.
70: SHOT! Very flat atmosphere in here. Rodri tries his luck from 22 yards but Hennessey gets down quickly to make a strong save.
COUNTER! Defence to attack within seconds. Ramsey sprints down the right and lays in Brooks. He beats his man before rolling a ball into the middle...Vokes is charging in but he couldn't quite get a toe to the ball. Bartra clears.
66: CHANCE! Gaya flies down the left flank and curls a deep cross which is met by Morata with an almighty spring. He makes great contact but his header thunders just wide of the post.
63: SUBS! Triple change. Richards, Lawrence, Smith are on.
Allen, John and Davies are replaced.
Meanwhile, Jonny – of Wolves – makes his debut, replacing
60: SHOT! Ramsey gets into the game and bursts forward. He tries his luck from 25 yards but his low strike is straight at De Gea. Easy save. That's the first shot on target by Giggs' men.
58: CROSSBAR! Suso gets the ball out of his feet from 25 yards and looks for the far corner with his left foot. He whips the strike with great power but it clips the top of the bar and flicks over. So unlucky.
55: The changes haven't really made a difference for Wales, who seem to be keen to keep things tight this half.
CHANCE! Spain work the ball supremely well through midfield. Suso chips a ball into the middle and Alcacer meets it with a looping header but it sails just wide. He can sense a hat-trick.
51: INJURY! Ampadu is down feeling his knee. His race is run. King replaces him. That must make Ampadu a doubt for Tuesday's clash with the Republic of Ireland.
49: CHANCE! Excellent play from Koke who is one step ahead of Allen. He feeds Morata in behind but Hennessey sprints out to block Morata's duffed attempt.
46: HERE WE GO! Anthony Taylor gets us going again. Some subs to note.
De Gea, Saul and Ramos are off. Bartra, Kepa, Koke are on.
Brooks and Chester are on. Wilson and Williams depart. Looks like Wales have switched to a 4-4-2.
WALES v SPAIN PRICE BOOSTS
Looks like game over at half-time but Sky Bet Price Boosts
include Paco Alcacer to complete hat-trick – was 3/1 NOW 7/2
here to place your bets.
HT: Wales up against it, Spain have been so silky. Two goals from Alcacer and a Ramos header have put this result beyond doubt. Wales now just have pride to play for. See you in 15.
43: Spain look to go long again. Morata tries to read it but Hennessey is off his line quickly. Plenty for the hosts to ponder at the break.
41: Better spell for Wales. They seemed to have finally settled and are showing more confidence with the ball. Wilson especially is moving the ball very cleverly.
WATCH: RAMOS GOAL
Spain in cruise control. Here's how they made it 2-0.
36: POST! Wales force the issue down the right. Wilson wins a corner. He takes it himself and whips one to the back post. Ampadu is leaning back but makes good contact. The ball loops and hits the outside of the woodwork. De Gea probably had it covered.
34: Spain are obviously classy with the ball but without it they are even better. Every time Wales try to play out through their midfield a Spain shirt is all over them like a rash. Seriously impressive.
31: CLOSE! Spain go long. Gaya loops a 40-yard ball over the top for Saul to chase. He gets the run on Williams but his first touch slips out of his control. Hennessey comes out to clear up.
GOAL! WALES 0-3 SPAIN (Alcacer, 29)
Wales need to be careful - this is getting embarrassing.
A ball in from the right flank isn't cleared properly. Morata is down on the floor after getting a knock from Gunter but Spain continue. Allen and Wilson both go for the same loose ball and only end up deflecting it to Alcacer who volleys it home from 12 yards.
WALES 0-2 SPAIN
25: CLEARANCE! Again, sweet, sweet play from Spain. Suso sprints down the right flank and flashes a powerful ball into the six-yard box...Gunter has to thrash it clear from danger. Morata was sniffing.
22: FREE-KICK! A foul down the right wing - about 35 yards out signals Wilson's interest. He shapes like he's going to put one in the box but disguises a whipped effort that is aimed for the far post. He catches it with great pace but the ball loops a few yards over the bar. De Gea probably had it covered.
WATCH: OPENING GOAL
It's now 2-0, but here's how Spain took the lead. Classy.
GOAL! WALES 0-2 SPAIN (Ramos, 19)
Ryan Giggs won't be happy with this one - garbage defending from the Welsh.
A free-kick from the left is pumped into the box and Ramos has four yards of space in between Williams and Davies. Hennessey staying on his line doesn't help matters either and the Real Madrid man aims a perfect header into the bottom corner.
WALES 0-1 SPAIN
17: Ampadu gets his foot on the ball and gets Wales moving. Allen chips a ball into Vokes but he's offside. Spain regain the ball.
14: Morata looks lively. He accelerates down the left and his looping cross is headed behind by Davies at the back post. Spain take the corner short and start their festival of passing once more.
11: Wales slowly seeing more of the ball, but their time is mostly spent chasing the opposition who move the ball so cutely. Ramsey, Allen and Ampadu are getting through so much work in the middle - for little reward.
GOAL! WALES 0-1 SPAIN (Alcacer, 8)
QUALITY! Azpilicueta whips a ball in from the right that is punched clear by Hennessey. Ceballos pokes the ball back into the area which finds Alcacer. He looks full of confidence and takes a touch before curling a sensational effort into the top corner from 18 yards.
Wales have hardly had a kick - and they are now behind. Tall order to get back into this one.
WALES 0-0 SPAIN
7: SAVE! Azpilicueta moves forward and finds his Chelsea teammate Morata in the box. He spins Gunter and charges to the by-line. His low cross-shot is held by Hennessey. Wales have hardly touched the ball - patience needed here.
5: Spain dominating the ball here. Rodri - in the Busquets role this evening - dictating the play.
3: Ramos gets a typically boisterous reception. He's seen plenty of the ball as Spain try and play out from the back. Lots of pretty passing early doors from both teams. It's got the feeling of a 'nice game' this one.
1: KICK-OFF! Referee Antony Taylor blows his whistle. Spain in their white away kit, Wales in their traditional colours.
50,000 people take their seats in Cardiff - we are ready for football.
