Ince on international duty for Saddlers

Walsall will be without a host of players for the visit of in-form bottom club Cheltenham. Goalkeeper Clayton Ince is away on international duty with Trinidad and Tobago, meaning Rene Gilmartin will come in for his eighth appearance of the season. Talismanic centre-half Anthony Gerrard remains sidelined with a calf injury while midfielder Mark Bradley, who has scored twice in his last two games, is away with Wales' Under-21s. Paul Boertien is likely to miss out due to injury while fellow left-back Netan Sansara, who would have stepped in, has turned his ankle in training and is also sidelined. Defender Stephen Roberts remains out of action due to back spasms. Striker Michael Ricketts serves the final game of his five-match suspension while on-loan winger Robin Shroot has returned to parent club Birmingham. Manager Chris Hutchings was hoping to use the loan system to bring in some reinforcements but his attempts have fallen short. However, he will at least be boosted by the return of midfielder Stephen Hughes.

Robins news

New loan signings Yuri Berchiche and David Hutton will be hoping to earn a place in Cheltenham's 16 as the Robins aim to make it five games unbeaten in their bid to beat the drop. The young duo arrived from Tottenham a matter of hours before Thursday's deadline and they will go straight into contention for the encounter at the Banks's Stadium, although manager Martin Allen will only be able to select five of his six on-loan players. Quintet Shane Duff, Alan Wright, Josh Low, John Finnigan and Paul Connor were all told they could leave on Thursday but, despite receiving interest, any possible moves failed to materialise. Duff and fellow defenders Wright and Lee Ridley will all miss the trip to the West Midlands due to calf problems while midfielder David Bird (calf) is also doubtful. Finnigan is hoping to have overcome his hamstring injury in time to feature, forward Michail Antonio (ankle) is also back in the frame and may be involved. Midfielder Low will serve the second game of his three-match suspension. On-loan Frankie Artus will be hoping to continue where he left off on Tuesday - grabbing the opener on his debut in the 1-1 draw against Oldham.
