Naldo gave the Wolves the lead, but a Thomas Muller hat-trick and two goals from Mario Mandzukic helped Bayern to another win, sending out a clear warning to their next opponents Arsenal, in the Champions League on Tuesday. Franck Ribery was also on target as he marked his comeback with a goal in yet another demonstration of the strength of the champions elect. Xherdan Shaqiri was next up and his effort was scooped out, possibly from behind the line, by Benaglio - but only to Muller, who made sure from close range. Wolfsburg were not without their chances to take the lead again, but a dithering Maximilian Arnold wasted the best of them when, after exchanging passes with Bas Dost, he had a clear view of goal, but chose to shift the ball onto his left foot and allowed Jerome Boateng to close the gap and block. De Bruyne's weak shot with his right foot was another wasted chance, and a ruthless Bayern made them pay in the second half. Muller missed the target when it seemed easier to score on the hour mark, but he made up for it three minutes later when a Thiago Alcantara pass dissected the Wolfsburg defence and he took the ball round Benaglio before slotting it into the unguarded goal. Mandzukic wrapped up Bayern's latest win, stroking in a Rafinha cross first time from near the penalty spot - refusing to celebrate the moment against his former side. Ribery added the third after Robben dribbled his way past Benaglio, but found the angle too tight to score. He instead cut the ball back and teed up the Frenchman, who drilled in a low shot past two defenders. Neuer denied Bas Dost before Muller met Robben's cross to head in Bayern's fifth. There was still time for another for Mandzukic as the Wolves conceded six for the second week running. Muller's low cross was an open invitation for the Croatian, sliding in at the far post to complete the rout.
