Ben Strevens' injury-time penalty miss meant Mike Williamson's two headed goals were enough to give 10-man Wycombe a 2-1 win over Dagenham.
Young striker Simon Church had seen red for the Chairboys after 20 minutes when he jumped in two-footed on Dagenham's Peter Gain.
Williamson's first goal came just after the half-hour when his looping header from Lewis Spence's cross found the top corner.
The Daggers struggled to open Wanderers up after the break despite the extra man until just before the hour when Strevens found the bottom corner after being picked out by Paul Benson.
But less than 10 minutes later the home side restored their lead when Williamson met another cross with a powerful header into the far corner.
Dagenham should have snatched a draw though after they were given a lifeline by Chris Zebroski's foul on Glenn Southam but Strevens dragged the penalty wide.
