Burton trio Damien McCrory, Jacob Davenport and John Brayford are all doubtful for the home game against Hull.
Defender McCrory (hamstring) and on-loan Manchester City midfielder Davenport (calf) both sustained injuries in Saturday's draw at Birmingham, while Brayford will also be monitored.
Defenders Tom Naylor and Kyle McFadzean are nursing knocks, but should be available and striker Darren Bent is hoping to resume after his recent illness. Forward Liam Boyce, who returned in February following knee surgery in the summer, completed his first 90 minutes of the season at Birmingham.
Hull will be without suspended midfielder Markus Henriksen after he received his fifth booking of the season in Saturday's home win against QPR. Jackson Irvine and David Meyler will be both hoping for recalls to the starting line-up in Henriksen's absence.
Boss Nigel Adkins has reported no major new injury concerns, with defender Angus MacDonald, Kamil Grosicki and Fraizer Campbell also pushing for starting places. Moses Odubajo, Evandro and James Weir remain long-term absentees as the Tigers bid to make it four games unbeaten.
This is just the second time these sides have met in the Football League - in the reverse fixture, Hull won 4-1 at the Pirelli Stadium.
Nigel Adkins and Nigel Clough last faced in March 2016 - a 1-0 win for Burton away at Adkins' Sheffield United side.
Clough has lost seven of his eight meetings with Hull in all competitions, winning the other in January 2012 as Derby manager.
Hull have earned seven points from their last five away league games (W2 D1 L2) - just one fewer than they picked up in their first 15 on the road this season (W1 D5 L9).
The Brewers are on the longest current winless run in the Championship, failing to win any of their last eight games (D3 L5).
Hull's Abel Hernandez has the best minutes per goal ratio in the Championship this season (min 5 goals), netting on average once every 82 minutes.
