Highlights from Sky Bet League One as Charlton faced Shrewsbury.

Alex Rodman and Omar Beckles grabbed second-half goals to maintain Shrewsbury's League One promotion charge with a 2-0 victory at Charlton.

Jon Nolan also missed a first-half penalty for the second-placed visitors, who are one point behind leaders Blackburn.

The Addicks began brightly with a fine double save from Shrews keeper Dean Henderson denying Josh Magennis and then Joe Aribo.

Shrewsbury were handed the chance to take the lead when they were awarded a 17th-minute penalty for a foul by Ezri Konsa on Nolan.

Nolan stepped up to take the spot-kick, only to see it saved by Ben Amos before heading the rebound against the crossbar.

Shaun Whalley was proving a real handful for the home side's back four and curled a shot agonisingly wide six minutes after the interval.

Moments later the visitors were ahead. Rodman won possession, cut inside on the left and then unleashed a long-range effort from an angle into the top corner which beat Amos.

The advantage was doubled midway through the half as Beckles rose majestically to head home from Whalley's corner.

Nolan and Whalley both squandered further opportunities for the Shrews, while substitute Tariqe Fosu almost pulled one back for the hosts with a long-range shot that landed on the roof of the net.

Ahmed Kashi and Magennis were both yellow carded following a touchline brawl between both sets of players as tempers flared late on.

But that was the only real fighting spirit Charlton could muster in what was a very disappointing display in front of their biggest crowd of the season.
