Substitute Ched Evans scored an 85th-minute winner as Fleetwood edged to a 1-0 victory against MK Dons.
Evans pounced to tap home after Don's goalkeeper Lee Nichols spilled Lewie Coyle's cross.
The Trawlermen maintained their determined push for the play-offs, while the Dons have scored just once, and picked up just one point, from their last eight matches.
The struggling Dons went closest to a breakthrough in the first half when Hiram Boateng headed inches over the top as he rose to meet George Williams' precise cross.
Wes Burns fired an effort well wide early on for Fleetwood, while Kyle Dempsey saw a powerful strike blocked by Joe Walsh.
Fleetwood's Paddy Madden headed wide from Burns' cross, while just before the interval Josh Morris saw an effort ruled out following Madden's push on Dons' 'keeper Lee Nichols.
Dons defender Regan Poole produced a great block to keep out Jordan Rossiter's fierce drive soon after the restart.
