IPSWICH 1-2 WEST BROM
FULL-TIME! So West Brom manage to hold on despite a nervy finish at Portman Road, leaving Ipswich without a win at home all season. The fans are still singing, but they will certainly be starting to worry. Harvey Barnes' strike wins it for Darren Moore's men.
Full report, reaction and highlights on the way...
90+4: YELLOW! Portman Road is coming alive now...Kieran Gibbs is booked as he concedes a free-kick right on the edge of the area...
90+5: POST! Lankester is inches away from an equaliser, but his excellent free-kick scrapes the edge of the post!
90+3: The Baggies are going to get on a few peoples' nerves in these last moments, you'd feel. They are desperate to hold onto these three points.
90+1: We're into FOUR minutes of added time here in Suffolk...
90: Freddie Sears leaves his calling card on Dawson, who is on the deck for the second time this evening. Not a common occurrence...
IPSWICH 1-2 WEST BROM
89: SUB! Here comes the experienced Gareth Barry, who replaces James Morrison. Darren Moore will be hoping the veteran can help shore up the backline in these dying embers.
87: Very different feel to these last few minutes now...can Ipswich add another?
GOAL! IPSWICH 1-2 WEST BROM (Jackson, 85)
Lifeline for the hosts as Adarabioyo's slopping touch on a ball into the 18-yard box allows Kayden Jackson to watch the ball hit the deck, before he curls clinically past Sam Johnstone! Game on!
IPSWICH 0-2 WEST BROM
84: YELLOW! Late booking for Matt Phillips for delaying the restart of the game.
83: WIDE! Menacing run down the left from Jackson, but Hegazi closes his man down well and forces the substitute to strike the side netting.
80: SUBS! Amid the drama of the second goal, Ipswich made a double change as Lankester and Jackson replaced Roberts and Edwards.
81: NO PENALTY! Lankester almost straight in the heart of the action as he is felled in the penalty area, but Keith Stroud shakes his head.
GOAL! IPSWICH 0-2 WEST BROM (Barnes, 77)
This looks to be game over for Ipswich. West Brom counter through Matt Phillips as the hosts struggle to make anything from their own corner. He dances on the edge of the area and picks out Harvey Barnes on the right, who drops the shoulder, gets beyond Spence and finds the bottom corner.
IPSWICH 0-1 WEST BROM
77: The visitors might not have scored any goals in the first 15 minutes of games this term, but they've scored the most in the final 15 minutes of games, with 13...
75: SUB! Here comes Dwight Gayle, replacing Hal Robson-Kanu in attack. He scored an audacious backheel against Leeds two weeks ago, but can he add another to his tally this evening?
74: Dwight Gayle has been summoned and will be introduced in due course. Not the sight home fans will have been longing for this evening...
70: OVER! Roberts delivers a really nice cross from the left flank and Edwards manages to get the better of two Baggies defender and head at goal, but his effort goes over.
71: Excellent work from Spence to race to get himself in front of Rodriguez before he takes aim, having picked up Robson-Kanu's through ball.
68: Ipswich are trying to play out from the back but they are caught out, with Robson-Kanu somehow earning a corner from a heavy touch and poor shot touched behind by Bialkowski.
69: Huge let-off for the hosts as the stopper is challenged for the ball by Robson-Kanu, who backs into him. He drops the ball onto Knudsen's back and, but for a goalline clearance, West Brom were almost gifted a second there!
67: "West Brom look to have weathered the storm," says Andy Hinchcliffe on co-commentary as Jay Rodriguez rifles an effort at goal, but watches his shot fly over.
64: West Brom tinkering with the ball about 30 yards out, stretching their opponents and plotting a route to goal. Their latest attack comes to nothing, leaving a chance for Ipswich to make a change, with Bishop replacing Downes.
62: Time for anyone to make a change in personnel? This game could still go either way, you'd feel.
58: WIDE! Trevoh Chalobah fancies his luck as he picks the ball up in a central position on the edge of the area. He works his way forward, but the presence of the onrushing Dawson narrows the angle and his strike drifts wide.
56: They looked the better team at the end of the first half, but West Brom haven't quite got going yet...
And literally as I type, Matt Phillips' cross to the far post goes unchallenged by Spence and Barnes strikes the woodwork with a fierce effort!
52: WIDE! Pennington drives from deep after a free-kick conceded by Phillips is taken quickly. His effort is way off target but the confidence is growing, for sure.
51: CORNER! Another corner for the hosts as Knudsen's cross is deflected behind. Downes' effort drops at the back post but no one in blue can apply the finishing touch, before Chalobah strikes an effort from range into the hands of Johnstone.
Better from Ipswich, who are building momentum.
49: CORNER! Roberts gets the better of Hegazi, but the centre-back recovers well and pokes behind for a corner.
There's chaos in the area and Roberts hits a close range effort, but Gibbs was stationed on the line and manages to get enough on his clearance to avert the danger.
48: Ipswich appear to be setting up in the same fashion as the first half and, as Andy Hinchcliffe has already said, if they don't shake something up, West Brom will score a second.
SECOND HALF! IPSWICH 0-1 WEST BROM
We're back off and running...
HALF-TIME! At the break it's Jay Rodriguez's 100th club career goal that separates the two sides. The noise has certainly gone down a notch since the goal, but can Paul Lambert gee his side up in order to turn this game around?
45: CHANCE! Ipswich completely waste a corner and the failed set-piece almost sets up the visitors, but though Barnes crosses into the area following a rapid counter, Rodriguez takes too long to pick his spot and Chalobah dives into clear.
45+1: We're into ONE added minute...
44: Slow-paced end to this first half at Portman Road. Ipswich fans have quietened down since the goal but it's a very slender disadvantage to overturn.
42: A breakdown of Jay Rodriguez's century...
40: OVER! Good defensive work from Pennington to hold back Robson-Kanu, diverting him off course without diving in and forcing the Welshman off balance, meaning his shot flies well over the bar.
37: FREE-KICK! Set-piece conceded by Rodriguez and Ipswich have the chance to swing the ball into a dangerous spot...
It's taken short and eventually swung into the area by Downes, but man mountain Hegazi heads a strong header on the delivery. Certainly an audible groan when Knudsen took that free-kick short...
WATCH: RODRIGUEZ'S OPENER
Re-live the moment West Brom took the lead through Jay Rodriguez...
31: CORNER! Great block from Hegazi to get in front of Roberts effort. Lambert's men win a corner, but they waste it and soon hand over possession to their opponents.
30: Not how Paul Lambert would have hoped to start whatsoever. Cagey start really, but you just feel the Baggies may sense they have the upper hand and begin to turn the screw.
Early days, however.
GOAL! IPSWICH 0-1 WEST BROM (Rodriguez, 26)
Right place, right time. Jay Rodriguez has put the Baggies in front at Portman Road!
Kieran Gibbs swings a cross from left to right and Phillips does the same from the opposite wing. Gibbs nods the ball back across goal and Rodriguez is there to tuck home from close range!
IPSWICH 0-0 WEST BROM
25: OVER! Speculative effort from Spence seems to hang in the air for a lifetime before dropping beyond Johnstone's goal.
23: MISS! Sears concedes another free-kick and though it's another poor delivery from Phillips, Roberts makes a stunning defensive intervention to take the ball away from Rodriguez and force Hegazi to skew his effort wide!
22: Cracking atmosphere at Portman Road so far, but no chances to match it as yet. Typically cagey Friday night start.
18: Two chances for Matt Phillips to test Ipswich go begging; his initial free-kick from deep is blocked, before he sends the rebound far beyond any team-mates and out for a goal-kick.
16: WIDE! Knudsen's cross is blocked at one end and the Baggies carve out a nice opportunity, though Harvey Barnes' low effort from the right skids just beyond Bialkowski's far post.
15: For all of West Brom's goals this season, they are still yet to register in the first 15 minutes of any game. The streak continues tonight...
13: OVER! First chance of the game falls to Knudsen, who follows a cross from the right hand side but can't resist a first-time strike. Needless to say, despite the clean connection, it whistles over Johnstone's crossbar.
11: YELLOW! Poor challenge from Pennington as he hauls Robson-Kanu down, preventing him from turning a running onto a pass down the flank. Rightly booked by Keith Stroud.
9: Robson-Kanu latches onto a pass out wide from Gibbs, but though he twists and turns, Downes gets the better of him before the onrushing Morrison sees his heavy touch drop beyond the byline for a goal-kick.
7: Enjoyable start here but no openings in the first few minutes as both sides figure out their opponents' approach early on. West Brom are English football's top scorers, but will they continue their hot streak this evening?
4: CORNER! Error from Ipswich sees West Brom counter from deep and though Pennington ushered Robson-Kanu out wide, the Baggies have a corner.
Rodriguez, though, nods over from close range.
2: Ipswich full-backs playing very high already, following Paul Lambert's instructions to hunt West Brom down from the off.
