Late own goal sinks Stanley at Sincil Bank

Struggling Lincoln City scored two goals in the last six minutes to claim a priceless 2-1 win against play-off chasing Accrington Stanley. City, without a win in six games, looked to be heading for defeat until on-loan striker Stevie Lennon scored his second goal in as many matches after 84 minutes. Lennon then missed a good chance to claim the points himself before the Imps snatched a lucky winner in stoppage time. Veteran defender Ian Pearce fired in a low cross which deflected off Stanley's Darran Kempson and rolled into the net. Accrington, battling for a play-off place, had only themselves to blame for not claiming another away win, although they found Lincoln keeper Rob Burch in inspired form. The visitors went ahead on the half-hour when Michael Symes sent Bobby Grant clear and the striker slotted home his 16th goal of the season. But skipper Andrew Procter saw his header pushed onto the crossbar by Burch, before Symes hammered a shot against the outside of a post and saw another shot kept out by the Imps stopper after he broke clear.
