Arsenal transfer rumours: Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi linked

Which are the most credible Arsenal transfer rumours right now?

Sky Sports has teamed up with Football Whispers to bring you the hottest transfer talk of the moment, as Arsene Wenger looks to improve his squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

Football Whispers have developed a unique algorithm to take all of the transfer rumours from across the globe and calculate the likelihood of them happening.

They track transfer stories and give them a score out of 5.0, with the hottest Whispers closest to 5.0.

The top three are:

1. Julian Draxler (Wolfsburg) - 4.5

Draxler returns to the top of the Football Whispers transfer list rating as speculation continues to mount about the Germany international's future at Wolfsburg.

The winger - who is contracted to the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2020 - remains on a 4.5 rating with Alexandre Lacazette dropping to third in the list.

2. Mauro Icardi (Inter) - 4.2

A new feature on the Arsenal transfer list for Tuesday as Icardi fires up the rankings from 3.0 on Monday and makes it into second place.

The Inter captain has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs this summer as the striker's wife told Calciomercato.com that the club had put her husband up for sale. Can the Gunners strike at the right time to land their man?

3. Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon) - 3.6

After scoring 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season, Lacazette has reportedly attracted the attention of Wenger. His rating continues to fluctuate and the Frenchman has gone from 4.8 on Monday to a 3.6 on Tuesday.

Sky sources understand West Ham are still interested in bringing Lacazette to the Olympic Stadium, but they have not made an improved bid to match his reported price tag of €52m (£43.5m). Will Wenger dig deep to bring this proven goalscorer to the Emirates?
