Ross County have agreed a deal for Hearts midfielder Prince Buaben, according to Sky sources.

However, Sky sources understand he has so far failed to agree personal terms with County for the move to proceed.

Originally a trainee at Ajax, Buaben spent four seasons at Dundee United before moving south of the border to Watford in the Championship, where he stayed until October 2013.

The 5ft 7in midfielder then had spells at Carlisle and a loan to Partick Thistle before moving to Hearts in July 2014.

Buaben has made 60 league appearances for the Scottish Premiership side and has scored six goals from a central midfield position.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian has appeared in four of Hearts' five matches so far this season. He was an unused substitute in their dramatic 2-1 win over Partick on Saturday.
