Two-goal hero Richard Wood says clinching promotion to the Championship with Rotherham at the weekend was undoubtedly the highlight of his career.
Wood scored both of Rotherham's goals as the Millers beat Shrewsbury 2-1 in Saturday's League One play-off final at Wembley.
And speaking at a parade through Rotherham to celebrate promotion, the Millers captain admits he is relishing the prospect of playing in the Championship once again next season.
"It's brilliant. It's great to see all the fans come out in support," Wood told Sky Sports News.
"They have been brilliant for us all season and it's just a nice way of finishing things off. It's a great occasion.
"It's the highest (ranking moment in my career) I've got my children here, my children were on the bus. They were there on Sunday and got to see everything. For them to see that, and see their dad doing it, makes me ever so proud, and I'm proud of everybody involved.
"I've had a good few years in the Championship over my career and you want to play as high as you can.
"To be back in the Championship playing against some massive teams with massive fanbases in big stadiums is what you want to do. I am really looking forward to it."
