Bochum land Dortmund striker on 18-month deal

Relegation-threatened VFL Bochum have signed striker Diego Klimowicz from local rivals Borussia Dortmund. Klimowicz has been a peripheral figure in the Dortmund squad this term and has signed a contract which will keep him at Bochum until 2010. Bochum are thought to have paid in the region of 400,000 euros (£375,000) for the former Wolfsburg man. The 34-year-old will be hoping to revive the club's fortunes with the team one off the bottom in the Bundesliga with just one win all season. "My talks with coach Marcel Koller and general manager Thomas Ernst were very positive," the Argentinean striker told Kicker. "I felt their trust in my ability and Bochum's tactics should suit my game. The team is good and I want to help them stay in the Bundesliga."
