Yann Jouffre has committed his future to Lorient by agreeing a two-year extension to his contract.

Midfielder to stay on at Stade du Moustoir until 2013

Yann Jouffre has committed his future to Lorient by agreeing a two-year extension to his contract. The midfielder was set to become a free agent at the end of June, with his previous deal having been allowed to run down. A number of other clubs were hoping to swoop once he became available, with Nantes believed to be among those waiting to pounce. The 26-year-old has put an end to any rumours regarding his future, though, by agreeing fresh terms. He will now remain at Stade du Moustoir until the summer of 2013. Jouffre joined Lorient in January 2008 from EA Guingamp and has scored three goals in 64 Ligue 1 appearances.
