St Johnstone boss determined to keep club captain

St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas insists there has been no bid from Bristol City for the club's captain Jody Morris.

The experienced midfielder has been linked with a reunion with former Saints boss Derek McInnes at City ahead of the transfer window closing.

McInnes brought the 33-year-old to McDiarmid Park in 2008 during his time in charge of Saints and is looking to improve his squad before Tuesday's deadline.

However, McInnes' successor at the SPL club, Lomas, does not want to lose Morris and says there has been no approach for the former Chelsea player.

"Until Bristol City make an offer that's acceptable, Jody won't be going anywhere," said Lomas in the Daily Record. "There has been no bid.
