Partick Thistle have confirmed they expect the SFA to issue a notice of complaint to winger Steven Lawless in relation to betting on football matches.
The 24-year-old has played 36 times for the Jaggies this season, scoring three goals in the process.
But Lawless could find himself in trouble with the SFA, with Scottish football’s governing body expected to look into the matter.
“We are aware of the SFA’s intention to issue a notice of complaint to Steven Lawless with regards to betting on football matches,” read a statement on Partick’s official website.
“As a club we are in the process of conducting our own internal investigation and, until that and any SFA procedure is concluded, we will be making no further comment.”
