Montpellier central midfielder Damien Le Tallec has been at the heart of the club's strong start to Ligue 1. The summer signing has scored twice during their run of fine form which has taken them to third in the table.

La Liga surprise package Alaves have conceded fewer goals than Barcelona and Real Madrid so far this season and Ximo Navarro, who has switched between centre-back and right-back has played an important role, also contributing a goal and an assist.

94 - Gaetan Laborde, Montpellier

After swapping Bordeaux for Montpellier, Gaetan Laborde has fired his new club up the table with six goals in 12 appearances.

93 - Angel Correa, Atletico Madrid

Promising young left-back Alex Berenguer has made a solid start to the Serie A campaign with Torino, notching a goal and an assist from five starts and five substitute appearances, while also ranking third among his team-mates for tackles and chances created per game.

91 - Willi Orban, RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig are the only Bundesliga side yet to concede double figures in the league so far this season, conceding just nine times in 11 outings. Willi Orban has been at the heart of their defence for seven of those games, averaging a team-high six clearances per match.

90 - Felipe Anderson, West Ham

West Ham record signing Felipe Anderson has proved to be a hit with the clubs supporters and has delivered four goals and an assist in his first 12 Premier League appearances, getting off the mark with a back-heel goal in the win over Manchester United.

Brazilian Allan was a key cog in the Maurizio Sarri machine at Napoli but he has continued to shine despite the manager's departure, averaging more tackles and dribbles than any of his team-mates in Serie A this term.

86 - Miralem Pjanic, Juventus

At the heart of Juventus' unbeaten start to the Serie A season is Miralem Pjanic. Whether he is passing the ball or dribbling with it, he is one of the chief catalysts for the team's attacking play, averaging team-high figures for pass completion (92.3 per cent) and successful dribbles (one per game).

85 - Robin Gosens, Atalanta

Playing on the left flank for Atalanta, Robin Gosens has won more aerial battles than any of his team-mates this season - but his all-round play, which includes two goals and an assist, have helped him to 85th in our list.

Paris Saint-Germain have dominated their opposition in the opening months of the Ligue 1 campaign, with defender Thomas Meunier able to enjoy plenty of time on the front foot. Montpellier have made a strong start to the season and left midfielder Ambroise has contributed at both ends of the field, scoring twice and ranking second for tackles and interceptions.

82 - Jordan Veretout, Fiorentina

Former Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout has three goals and an assist for Fiorentina in Serie A so far this season. He is averaging more key passes per game than any of his team-mates but also chipping in with a team-high 2.7 tackles per match too.

78 - Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey has not been an automatic choice under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery but when he has been on the pitch he has made his mark, scoring one and setting up four more goals from his 557 minutes of action. On Friday night, he is expected to start for Wales when they face Denmark in the Nations League, live on Sky Sports.
