With dominoes beginning to fall, the transfer market is starting to get serious across Europe.

Spain

Barcelona are ready to battle Atletico Madrid for Alvaro Morata. The Chelsea striker is set to leave Stamford Bridge this month and was expected to return to the Spanish capital. However, the La Liga leaders are in need of a striker and are set to launch a move. (Mundo Deportivo)

Real Madrid are set to be rivalled in the race to sign Tottenham star Christian Eriksen. The European champions have made the Denmark international a priority signing but he is also a Barcelona and Chelsea transfer target. (AS)

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde says he hasn't spoken to Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong about a move to the Nou Camp. "I've not spoken with him or any other player. And no one has spoken to him in my name." (Sport)

Meanwhile, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu says Valverde will remain in charge of the club beyond the 2018/19 campaign: "We don't have any doubts here that Valverde will be the Barcelona coach next season." (Sport)

France

Manchester United will sign teenage attacker Noam Emeran from French side Amiens by the end of January. The 16-year-old will set United back by around £90,000, and has also been followed by Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. (Courrier Picard)

PSG are still in pole position to sign Ajax's Frenkie de Jong, despite some sources in Paris denying the fact. It is believed the fee, when a club is eventually decided on, is will be between €70-80m. (Le Parisien)

Cardiff's chase for Emiliano Sala has caused trouble at his current club Nantes. The Welsh club have reportedly had a £18m deal for the striker more or less in place for a while, with the final hurdle being convincing Sala himself. Italy

West Ham have met Genoa's £35m valuation of striker Krzysztof Piatek but the Serie A side have turned down the offer as they have guaranteed Milan first refusal on the 23-year-old. (Sportitalia)

Piatek has agreed terms with Milan, so it's now just up to the two Italian clubs to reach a deal that the two sides agree with. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Aaron Ramsey has signed his contract with Juventus and will officially join the club on July 1. The Serie A leaders were exploring the possibility of bringing him to Turin this month but refused to meet Arsenal's £17m valuation (Sky Sport Italia)

Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Lazio striker Ciro Immobile, with the Reds planning to send scouts to see him in action against Napoli on Sunday. (Il Messaggero)

Germany

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says the club will hold further talks with Atletico Madrid midfielder Lucas Hernandez about a summer move. "We've already had talks, there will be more. That he comes in winter is unrealistic." (Sport Bild)

Bayern are also involved in the transfer of 18-year-old Ozan Kabak to Stuttgart. A €12m deal with Galatasaray has been agreed for the centre-back, but part of Kabak's reasoning for joining Stuttgart was the promise of Bayern Munich's interest further down the line. (Kicker)
