Tuesday's Man Utd transfer rumours: Alvaro Morata, Gareth Bale
Tuesday 4 July 2017 09:00, UK
All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Tuesday, July 4.
Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that Alvaro Morata could be signed from Real Madrid before Friday.
Morata's representatives met with Real officials on Monday and a move looks to be on the cards.
The Daily Record say Gareth Bale could be on the verge of a sensational return to the Premier League with Manchester United - if Real Madrid can tempt teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu.
Apparently both Jose Mourinho and United chief Ed Woodward want to bring Bale to Old Trafford.
But the Daily Mirror are reporting that Mourinho is getting frustrated by United's lack of transfer activity.
United's only signing so far has been defender Victor Lindelof, and the Daily Mirror believe it is unlikely further signings will be made before United leave for their pre-season tour of the USA on Sunday.
United do, though, appear to have sealed deals to sign a couple of youth players.
Former Chelsea youngster Di'Shon Bernard has updated his Twitter account to say he has joined United while the Daily Mail say teenage Belgian striker Largie Ramazani has signed from Charlton.
