Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal is set to sign a new three-year deal, according to Sky sources.
The 29-year-old Spain international is expected to conclude a new contract next week that will keep him at the club until 2019.
A number of English newspapers reported last summer that talks had begun over a new deal and he was expected to put pen to paper before the beginning of the season.
Reports in Spain also claimed he was of interest to a number of La Liga clubs but he told Arsenal's website in December: "Everything feels right here.
"I can say that I feel at home on and off the pitch. If you don't feel good off the pitch and in life in general, obviously you can't give 100 per cent.
"However, at the moment, I love England, I love London and I love my team-mates so everything is positive."
Monreal signed for the Gunners from Malaga for £8.5m in 2013 on what was understood to be a four-year deal running until 2017.
He has made over 100 appearances across all competitions for the club and scored twice - once in the Premier League and once in the FA Cup.
Monreal began his career as a youth at Osasuna before breaking into the first team at a young age and making over 100 appearances.
He joined Malaga in the summer of 2011 in a £6m deal after making his senior international debut for Spain in 2010.
