Bordeaux to approach Arsenal to sign Mathieu Debuchy - Sky sources

Bordeaux are set to approach Arsenal to try to sign full-back Mathieu Debuchy, according to Sky sources.

Debuchy spent the second half of last season on loan at the Ligue 1 club but only made nine appearances due to injury.

Sky Sports News HQ understands Bordeaux would like to sign Debuchy on a permanent deal but would be open to a loan move if necessary.

Debuchy has three years left on his contract at Arsenal but has played just 12 games for the club since joining from Newcastle in July 2014.
