The 26-year-old was heavily linked with both Chelsea and Everton over the past year, but Arsenal have reportedly been told he is not for sale.

Arsenal are hoping to beat Manchester United to the signing of 16-year-old Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee, say the Daily Mail.

The Netherlands U16 striker scored 33 goals in 27 games last season in the Feyenoord youth side.

Arsenal will seek to off-load players before deciding whether to smash the club's transfer record for the second time this summer on Monaco star Thomas Lemar, according to the Daily Mail.

Those players could include Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Calum Chambers, Wojciech Szczesny, Lucas Perez, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud.
