We round up the latest Arsenal transfer news from Tuesday, January 8.

The big news from Arsenal is their chase for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, with the London Evening Standard reporting that Unai Emery has urged Arsenal to find the cash to complete a deal this month.

The newspaper says that head of football Raul Sanllehi is generally reluctant to do business in January and a summer move is a more realistic prospect.

However, the Mirror says that Barcelona want to keep Suarez at the club this month, and although they could lose him in the next window, they are not ready to part with him just yet.

His arrival could mean the departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to The Sun, who say he may be surplus to requirements should Suarez arrive at the Emirates.

Elsewhere, Corriere dello Sport report that Arsenal are close to dropping out of the race for Roma winger Cengiz Under.

The Serie A club reportedly want close to £45m for the Turkey international, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich already ending their interest over the fee.
