Tottenham's under-23s coach Ugo Ehiogu has been rushed to hospital after collapsing on Thursday.
The 44-year-old former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough player was taken ill at the club's training centre.
Spurs revealed the news via Twitter:
The north London club added: "Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to Ugo and his family. We shall continue to provide updates when we have further information."
The Homerton-born defender also played for West Brom, Leeds United, Rangers and Sheffield United.
He was a member of the Aston Villa team which lost in the final of the 2000 FA Cup at the old Wembley Stadium, and collected four England caps.
Ehiogu joined Spurs in a coaching capacity three years ago.
