Newcastle break club record to sign Miguel Almiron

The biggest deadline day signings live on Sky Sports this weekend

Newcastle were the Premier League big spenders on deadline day but there were some major loan deals that went through too.

As well as Newcastle's club-record signing of Miguel Almiron, Arsenal completed the deal to bring in Denis Suarez, while Leicester snapped up Youri Tielemans.

And when the new signings feature, there's only one place to see them all live..

Miguel Almiron

Newcastle supporters wouldn't have been too hopeful of seeing their side break their transfer record in January but that's finally what they did on Deadline Day. The signing of Miguel Almiron surpassed the long-time record fee that the Magpies paid for Michael Owen and hopes are high that the player who so impressed at Atlanta United will be a success.

The Paraguay international has a good scoring record and is also the sort of entertainer that the Newcastle supporters will enjoy watching. The aim will be for him to link up the midfield with target man Salomon Rondon, but he will not feature against Tottenham on Saturday as he doesn't have a work permit. He could instead make his debut against Wolves on Monday Night Football on February 11.

Almiron says: "I'm very happy and eager to start and to meet my new team-mates. The league is very competitive, this is a historic club, and Rafa Benitez himself were the main reasons why I am here now. I think it is a great responsibility, something beautiful for me, and I will try to offer the best I can to repay the trust the club put in me."

Youri Tielemans

Another deadline day signing with a daunting opening fixture to look forward to is new Leicester loanee Youri Tielemans. The Belgium international joined the Foxes from Monaco, with Adrien Silva moving in the opposite direction, and the 21-year-old midfielder will be hoping to be involved at home to Manchester United on Super Sunday.

Tielemans' reputation certainly precedes him as he was hailed as a wonderkid at Anderlecht, but it has not all been straightforward since then. Can he unlock that undoubted potential at Leicester? A strong start against Manchester United would go a long way towards endearing him to the supporters at his new club.

Tielemans says: "I'm really excited to get going. The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world and when I was young, I always watched Premier League games. I'm really happy to be here and I'm excited to get started. It's a big family. Everybody is really kind and really good with me. I think it will be really good here."

Denis Suarez

Arsenal finally concluded their deal to bring in Barcelona's Denis Suarez on loan until the end of the season and it could hardly be a more dramatic start for him if selected. The 25-year-old Spaniard spent two of his teenage years at Manchester City and it's the Etihad Stadium that Arsenal must visit in the Premier League on Super Sunday.

Many Gunners fans believe that the team need to improve their defensive options in order to make progress but there will also be plenty of excitement to see what Suarez can bring to the team too. He is a player who Unai Emery knows well from their time together at Sevilla. Will the Arsenal boss give him the chance to show City what they missed out on?

Emery says: "We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us. He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla. He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he'll be able to help the team."
