Watford are in talks with West Brom over the signing of goalkeeper Ben Foster, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News reported last week that Foster and team-mate Craig Dawson refused to travel with the rest of the Baggies squad for their pre-season training camp in Portugal last week.
Foster has one year left on his contract at The Hawthorns and it is thought West Brom could ask for up to £3m for the 35-year-old.
Albion are understood to be close to agreeing a £5m move for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who they tried to sign last summer.
Johnstone impressed on loan at Aston Villa last season, but United are reportedly willing to let him leave with Stoke's Lee Grant close to signing as 3rd choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford.
