Birmingham manager Garry Monk has been handed a one-match touchline ban and fined £2,000 by the FA after being sent off in their 1-1 draw with Brentford in midweek.

Monk admitted using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official in the 65th minute of the game at Griffin Park on Tuesday night and accepted the standard penalty.

The ban takes place with immediate effect, meaning the Blues boss will have to sit in the stands for the visit of Rotherham to St Andrew's on Saturday.
