Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo states he cannot say he will not repeat his Leicester celebration again

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo accepts the referee’s decision to send him off for celebrating on the pitch in their 4-3 win over Leicester but did not promise he would not do it again.

Nuno was fined £8,000 by the FA after admitting a charge of improper conduct when he ran on to the pitch to celebrate with his players as Diego Jota completed his hat-trick.

The 45-year-old was subsequently dismissed by referee Chris Kavanagh, the same official who failed to send off Jurgen Klopp when he invaded the pitch to celebrate Liverpool's late winner against Everton in November.

Speaking about his charge, Nuno said: "Everybody knows it is hard to contain those emotions in such a special moment.

"Last minute of the game, last goal, it gave us such an important victory. I tried to be as far away as possible to avoid the situation.

"But I maintain my opinion the referee made the right decision but at the same time I think everybody understood why I went onto the pitch.

"It's very difficult to say I won't do it again. I think that goes for everybody, managers and players. It is such a moment of thrill that sometimes you cannot sustain yourself - it's difficult."
