Sunderland make approach for Swansea's Andre Ayew, Sky sources understand

Sunderland have made an approach for Swansea striker Andre Ayew, according to Sky sources.
The Ghana international has been one of the better performers in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Swansea, scoring seven goals, including one in the 4-2 defeat by Sunderland on Wednesday.
And it is understood Swansea - just one point off the relegation places - are reluctant to part with one of their key attacking players.
The 26-year-old had spent the bulk of his career with Marseille, where he made 160 appearances before leaving the south of France last summer.
He is believed to have turned down offers from Italy and Germany to move to Swansea on a free transfer and signed a four-year contract at the Liberty stadium in June.
Swansea sold midfielder Jonjo Shelvey to relegation-threatened Newcastle during the January transfer window in a deal understood to be around £12m.
