Las Palmas Sporting Director, Toni Cruz, said on Tuesday: "There is already agreement for the transfer of Roque to Swansea City and tomorrow or beyond, it can become official."

Atletico Madrid have also tried to sign Mesa but they are banned from registering players until January.

Mesa came through the academy at La Liga side Levante to make his debut for the B side in 2007.

Mesa played 36 times for Las Palmas last season, who finished 14th in La Liga.
