John Beaton to referee Aberdeen v Celtic in Scottish League Cup final

John Beaton has been appointed to referee the League Cup final between Aberdeen and Celtic on Sunday 27 November at Hampden Park.

His last cup final was the 2015 Challenge Cup final between Alloa and Livingston at McDiarmid Park, a match which Livingston won 4-0.

In March 2010 he was stuck in snow overnight on the A9 along with the Queen's Park team after refereeing a match at Elgin City's Borough Briggs ground. 

The assistant referees at Hampden Park are Dougie Potter and Michael Banks while Don Robertson will be the fourth official.
