The Scottish Premiership is the most competitive it has been for years, according to former Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch, who also looks ahead to his old side’s Europa League clash with Spartak Moscow.

Former Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch says his old side have a golden opportunity to reach the last 32 of the Europa League.

Rangers are top of Group G ahead of Thursday's visit of Spartak Moscow, who parted company with manager Massimo Carrera on Monday.

Steven Gerrard's side head into the clash in good form, with five wins from their last six matches in all competitions, including an emphatic 4-1 victory at Hamilton on Sunday.

"What a real chance they have got to progress," McCulloch told Sky Sports News.
