Fire incident at Rangers' Auchenhowie training centre

Emergency services have responded to a fire at Rangers' training ground at Auchenhowie.

An alarm was raised shortly before 9am on Wednesday after a small fire broke out on the ground floor of the training complex.

A number of fire engines were sent to tackle the fire, which has now been extinguished.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.48am on Wednesday, January 16 to reports of a fire within a sports complex on Auchenhowie Road, Glasgow.

"Operations Control mobilised a number of fire engines and firefighters extinguished a fire on the ground floor of the complex.
