Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reassured manager Laurent Blanc that he will remain in charge of the French champions next season.
Last week, Al-Khelaifi could not hide his disappointment after PSG were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City, and admitted Blanc took a "tactical gamble" by playing a three-man defence in the second leg, which they lost 1-0, eventually going out 3-2 on aggregate.
But after the 2-1 French League Cup final win over Lille on Saturday, Al-Khelaifi said Blanc will still be in Paris next season managing the club.
"The contract was extended for two years [in February], he will stay with us next year," he said following the 2-1 win over Lille in the French League Cup final.
"When we lose, we lose, it is a collective responsibility.
"It was very important for us to win the Coupe de la Ligue after our elimination against Manchester City.
"These last two weeks have been very difficult. This award will allow us to breathe."
The six-time French champions had made an approach to Jose Mourinho to become their new manager this summer, according to Sky sources.
PSG have won the Ligue 1 title at a canter, currently sitting 27 points clear of second-placed Lyon with a game in hand.
They are in the French Cup final against Marseille at the end of May to wrap up a domestic treble.
